We are looking for a Temporary Chief Accountant to join our finance team based at our headquarters in Gothenburg. It's a full-time position with the desire to start in early June 2023 and extends for just over a year until September 2024. About the position

As Temporary Chief Accountant at Nudie Jeans, you lead the Finance Department, which currently consists of seven employees, and you will report to the CFO. As a part of the global finance team, you will support all Nudie Jeans subsidiaries. Your role involves frequent contacts within the organization as well as externally, so it is crucial that you are a social person who enjoys collaborating.

The role will include but is not limited to, the below task

• consolidated accounts, including consolidation of subsidiaries as well as annual reports for the group and subsidiaries 
• planning monthly and full-year financial statements and reports for all companies within the group
• provide financial expertise and guidance in matters related to accounting and tax
• ensure regulatory compliance in accounting and tax regulations, income, and VAT declarations
• extensive contact with internal and external stakeholders such as external auditors
• ongoing accounting and monthly closing

To be successful in this role 

You must have experience working in a similar position and describe yourself as a structured, self-motivated, and initiative-taking person. It is a requirement that you have significant experience in leading and developing a team. As Nudie Jeans is an international group with foreign subsidiaries, we expect you to have experience working with foreign companies. 

• you have relevant higher-level education, such as a university degree in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing 
• you are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbally
• we value your industry experience, but it's not a requirement  
• it would be advantageous if you have experience working with the business system Infor M3
