Financial Manager

We are looking for a Financial Manager to join our Australian team. As a Finance Manager, you play a pivotal role in guiding the success of our business. The position is broad and your workdays will be dynamic, interacting with both Nudie Jeans Pty Ltd (Sydney) and Nudie Jeans Co (Sweden) leadership teams. The successful candidate will be a reliable and passionate individual, motivated by providing problem solutions and deliver high quality financial reporting & analysis to help sustain business growth.

About the position

In the position of Financial Manager in Nudie Jeans Pty Ltd you will lead an Assistant Accountant and be responsible for a variety of different tasks. The position will report to the CEO of Nudie Jeans Pty Ltd, but also directly to the CFO and CEO of Nudie Jeans Co in Sweden. This is a full-time permanent position with an initial probationary period of 6 months, based in Sydney.

Main responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Day-to-day update of the General ledger
• Manage the Assistance Accountant
• Manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Reconcile transactions from cash registers
• Manage financial budgets
• Cash-flow budgeting
• Managing import duties and GST
• GST and Tax returns and other reporting to Authorities
• Monthly reconciliations and closing of the books
• Year End closing
• Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
• Updating ERP (cost prices, exchange rates etc.)
• Accounting compliance with local laws and regulations
• Manage the payroll

This person should be highly motivated, organized and constantly seeking initiatives to improve their department. Being a small team; it’s vital that this person drives their skill-set and expertise throughout the organization via various projects or opportunities they see fit.

You will have available support from HQ in Sweden, for example, when it comes to ERP-questions (Infor-M3), but the person we are looking for must be self-driven and be able to seek information on its own. We see that you have the ability to identify business needs and work on your own initiative.

Essential Experiences and Qualifications:

The qualifications required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in finance, business administration or accounting
• Minimum 3 years' experience of a similar role including Managing a team of people
• Knowledge in complex ERP, preferably Infor M3
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office specifically EXCEL.
